HR Generalist-Onsite

Primary Function

Responsible for managing recruiting efforts, managing community relations, leading retention efforts and managing sourcing for plant candidates.  Is responsible for contributing to, managing and overseeing the recruiting and onboarding processes of the company.  Supervises and develops the employees involved in the recruiting function on behalf of the company.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs and attributes of successful candidates. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community organizations, colleges, employment & staffing agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organizational information and cultural story, understanding of benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport in the community.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging tours.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Manages and holds accountable vendors charged with outside recruitment efforts.
  • Manages onboarding process and guides retention strategies.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Skill Levels / Education and/or Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of HR experience.
  • Three-Five years high-volume recruiting experience combined with working knowledge of HR regulations.
  • Need to work Onsite-No REMOTE work

  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Make decisions and solve problems.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent verbal, people, and judgment skills.
