Senior Account Executive

Job Summary

The Purple Guys is expanding our world class IT support from Kansas City to St. Louis.  This position will be the lead business development resource in the St. Louis area as we grow and expand our team. 

This is a PERFORMANCE based position. We believe that those who produce share in the results. The primary focus of this position is to generate new Managed IT Services business via new client acquisition. The right person will leverage our history and existing customer base to promote our managed services.

You will be responsible for providing world class IT support for our customers in a variety of ways.  You will be leading the business development for our St. Louis branch.  You will be supported by our 24 person team based in Kansas City including our Operations/Sales team, 15 person service desk and 5 person project support team.  You will also be involved in the growth of our St. Louis team.

Our service includes: managed services, unlimited end user support, tapeless backups, business continuity, seamless data recovery, disaster recovery, network security, virus protection, spam blocking, unlimited purchasing support and strategic technology planning.

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of business development experience, preferably business to business selling a service
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Customer-focused
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively handle competing priorities
  • High degree of initiative, motivation and enthusiasm
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong Moral Character

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the business development leader in our St. Louis office
  • Participate with the Kansas City sales team in collaborating sales and proposals
  • Conduct prospecting activities
  • Develop new business by following up on marketing campaigns, personal networking, customer referrals and targeted lists
  • All activity will be entered into our internal CRM system
  • Commitment to join local associations for networking purposes
  • Maintain relationships with your customers and generate referrals from those customers
  • Demonstrate creativity in developing and maintaining leads
  • Complete Three Hours of Volunteer Work Each Quarter
